3360 units in alternative housing for slums and 19 thousand units in "Housing for All Egyptians" in "New Obour"
Special Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Social Housing, stated that work is currently underway to implement 96 buildings that include 3360 housing units with different areas of 90 and 115 square meters, 96 administrative units and 96 commercial stores in the alternative housing project for slums in the 14th district in New Obour City, in addition to a primary school, a commercial mall, a medical center and a nursery, with advanced completion rates.
Dr. Assem El-Gazzar added that work is underway to complete the asphalt binding layer works on the roads and parking areas in the units of the presidential initiative "Housing for All Egyptians" in the 14th district, noting that the district includes 806 buildings in the 90 m model project, with a total of 19344 housing units included in the delivery plan for their bookers soon.
Eng. Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the New Obour City Authority, explained that the companies implementing the social housing projects in the city were notified to quickly complete the work within the specified times according to the agreed schedule, taking into account the required quality in the finishing.
Dr. Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Social Housing, confirmed that the Authority's officials are following up on the implementation rates first-hand from the work sites, and attention is also paid to the availability of various services, to be ready for operation in parallel with the housing of eligible citizens.
